Directions to TMUG Meetings

Our meetings are held on the second Monday of each month in the auditorium of the North Carolina Mutual Life Building in downtown Durham, NC. The building is across the street from the Durham Police Station, and nearby to the restaurants and shops of Brightleaf Square. There is a well-lit parking lot and our meeting is easy to reach from all points via the Durham Freeway, also known as NC route 147. Once inside, you can fuel up from the soda and snack vending machines before taking a comfortable seat in the auditorium and enjoying the free wireless internet access during the meeting.

Driving Directions

If you're coming from I-40 in the Raleigh/RTP area:

• Take [Exit 279B] off of I-40 onto Highway 147 (The Durham Freeway)
• Continue on the freeway to Duke Street [Exit 12C].
• The exit is just past the Durham Bulls ballpark on the right.
• Turn right onto Duke Street
• Go to the first light, which is Jackson Street.
• You will see the building on your right across the street.
• Turn right onto Jackson, then immediately turn left into the parking lot.
• Park!

From Chapel Hill via U.S. 15-501 :

• Take 15-501 North toward Durham
• In Durham, take 15-501 Bypass
• Take the Durham Freeway exit [NC Highway 147 South]
• Continue until you see the Chapel Hill Street exit
• Turn left onto Chapel Hill Street
• After two blocks you will see the NC Mutual Life Buildling on your right
• Continue on Chapel Hill Street just past the NCML building to Willard Street
• Turn right onto Willard Street
• Turn left onto Jackson, then immediately turn right into the parking lot.
• Park!

• If you are lost, and have NO other options :
• You can call the NCML security guard at the night desk for directions
