About Columns

Why are some columns a PDF and others a page on the website?

Short answer, submission guidelines changed when this site became active. Under the old site, columns were only editable by the author and web master. With this site, it should be understood that pages are editable by anyone with permission. In order to respect authors under the old guidelines, PDF's were created of columns and reviews from the old site.

Don't let the anyone can edit guideline scare you from submitting, 99.9% just want to help and will either add comments or formatting for clarity. You always have the ability to delete their edits or upload a PDF( another reason there may be PDFs).

What is the difference between a Column and a Review?

Yes they are both articles.

  • Reviews are about software, hardware, tricks and tips.
  • Columns are about TMUG itself or about community issues.
