January 14, 2008

— Meeting Place Relocation, Leopard Review —

The January meeting was held on Monday, January 14. The main topic of course was our loss of the NCML auditorium as a venue, and we spent a good bit of time discussing the reasons for that, and the alternatives we are considering, which included venues in Durham, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh.

Bob Chandler followed with his usually Q&A session, and our December Leopard winner, Ben Zalutsky, presented his review of the latest incarnation of OSX. Duane Reaugh followed up with his review, and we said our final farewell to the NCML venue, where we at least had working wireless to end our tenure there.

(Attendance at the January meeting was approximately 46 members and guests.)
